Charleston Crab House By Dinghy

Follow us to the Charleston Crab House.  You can get there by car or by boat.  The weather has cooled down a little at night in November so I pulled out my new wool +J.Crew hat for our dinghy ride to dinner.

Above is a similar hat from J.Crew and you can find the one I am wearing at your local store.  The specific earrings that I am wearing were also found in the store.

A happy hour aperitif for the ride.

I stuck with my favorite aperitif, Perrier...

The views are incredible.  These fall sunsets in Charleston have been showing off every single night.

Crab traps on the way to the Crab House...

I am in love with Mark's new vest from J.Crew.

Just under that bridge is where the restaurant is located.  Have you ever wondered what the underside of your car looks like?  Check it out...

The Charleston Crab House...

This looks just like our dinghy...  This must be what they do with bad dinghys?

There is great outdoor seating with heat lamps.

Hush puppies are served instead of bread.  I love hushpuppies (Southern Fried Cornbread Balls)...

Grilled Scallops with mashed potatoes and cole slaw...

And a 1/2 lb of Alaskan Crab Legs...

It took about a year but I finally have gotten a handle on my crab leg skills.

Now I am a pro...

Boom!

No really, look at that...  Success every time!
When we first moved here, I needed a good hour or two to eat 1/2 lb of crab legs.

Boom! Again!

We were served warm packaged towelettes after our meal.  Nice touch...

Do you remember the television show Flip This House with this guy, Richard Davis?  I loved that show!  Well, remember that episode where they flip the Charleston Crab House in Charleston and they flip the sign up-side down?  This is that restaurant that Trademark Properties renovated...

Such an awesome fall evening in Charleston!
