Zero George

Need a fun place for a quiet dinner?  Can't find reservations last minute on Friday and Saturday night?  Head over to Zero George, a boutique hotel and bistro cafe and bar.  It was recently named Conde Nast's Top 5 Foodie Hotels in the world, so get over there before it becomes too busy to get in!

The restaurant at Zero George is open to the public and they even hold cooking classes Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.

There is a great balance of indoor/outdoor space that is makes for a unique little hideaway.

Meet Chef Vinson Petrillo.  Chef Petrillo is a two-time winner of 'Chopped and Chopped Champions' on the Food Network and he was named 2013 Zagat NYC's "30 under 30" list.

Their cocktails, the High Garden and the Bespoke Manhattan, were out of this world.

Infused black cherries dressed Mark's Manhattan.  Guess who may have eaten most of them... :)

If you are lucky enough to stay at this hotel, you may enjoy their Miele coffee system.  Fancy a cappuccino or a latte macchiato?  No problem, just press a button and grab a cup!

I want one of these at home so badly, you can buy your own Miele coffee machine here.

We took our drinks and headed out to the dreamy courtyard.

Hierloom tomatoes looked like a good plate to start with...

How to get rid of hiccups?

Mark had the quail special...

... and I sunk into this amazing sea scallop bowl of delight.  Fun for the eyes and tastebuds.

I had to try Mark's hiccup trick while waiting on dessert...

A little pana cotta and fresh fruit...

...and the space lights up so incredibly at night.  Very romantic...

We chatted it up with some hotel guests and took a small tour of the hotel with it's many porches.
