One thing I have learned from living in Charleston is to make reservations early for your favorite restaurants. Our reservations for 5:15 were perfect to watch the sunset at Georges at the Cove.
From our poolside afternoon we headed back to the room, cleaned up, and left for dinner.
Make sure to request a table by the railing for the perfect view.
A little happy hour treat full of cherries.
We started with butternut squash bruschetta.
Here is a Banana Republic similar blazer, the one I am wearing was found at the Banana Republic outlet.
As the sun was setting, our entrees arrived. Mussels and steak and frites.
Our first evening was an early night as we spent the day traveling.
The next morning we woke up early and enjoyed breakfast by the fire at our hotel, La Valencia.
But not before we visited Starbucks two doors down the road.
Next, we headed out for a walk along the coast and to visit with more sea lions.
Come follow me and look at these magnificent views...
Watch as these sea lions get a good morning splash by the incoming wave...

More of the SoCal trip to come. Wait until you see what we got into for the rest of the day.
To be continued...
