Dancing Selfie Sailor Monkeys

Miss Kate and Mr. Clay joined us for a great day on the water.

Kate's top is from here:

I am loving my new bikini top from Nasty Gal (currently sold out there so you can find it at Chromat). The top may come back at Nasty Gal, so keep an eye out for it here:

All was "swell" until we both lost each of our favorite hats.  My fedora and Mark's Bert's Market hat  blew out into the "drink," as Mark calls it.  It is difficult to stop a sailboat whilst sailing, especially if it's just to save a couple of hats.

So what did we do?  We found some new hats...

Clay kept an eye out for us and kept the sailing steady.

Kate and I continued our selfies...

These two wanted in on the paparazzi action.

Then, this happened.  Why?  A better question is why not?  The front of the boat is made to be monkeyed around on...

"Kate, let's rock the boat!"
It seems she thinks this is a bad idea and wants out...

However, if she is afraid I am totally clueless and continue to egg her on...

Finally, we are synchronized...

Whoops, not for long!

Look ma, no hands!...

The music played and we danced along.  My gifs (moving pics) haven't cooperated too well with the waves rocking the bow, so you'll have to view the majority of these pictures in slow motion.

As we danced, selfied, and monkeyed these boys did all of the work.

Kate did take a break and help a little...

Headed out to dinner by dinghy to California Dreaming...

This sad sailor scares me every time we pass by, yikes...

Dinner was great and on the ride home half of us were already asleep...

Good night!

Trattoria Lucca

Welcome to the little Italian restaurant in Charleston's Elliotborough neighborhood, Trattoria Lucca.  It's quiet and cozy for the perfect date night.

Make a reservation or come by and sit at the bar.

They start your meal with this delicious hummus spread.  Yum!

Flat Iron Steak and Ravioli along with their Grouper Special arrived shortly after we ordered.

We really adore this space and the romantic lighting here.

Meet Brian and Shea.  These guys go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is it's best.

Get yourselves to Trattoria Lucca soon for some great Italian food!
