Brasserie Gigi

This rainy evening called for Hunters and some French Cuisine.  We headed out to dinner through the breezy drizzle in our golf cart.

This indoor setting was a perfect retreat from the weather.

A glass of pinot noir to warm me up and I had my eyes on mussels and pomme frites.

Bryan, Korey, and Steve were so fun! The general manager, Katie DeHart, came over to meet us as well.  Everyone here is happy to make you feel right at home.

The wind kept right on blowing through the evening.

Sunday Funday

Here is an old blog post that I have been keeping from you.  One great wintery Sunday around town...

We took the golf cart with some music and headed out for some really amazing Sunday food...

Flowers in the Winter!  Yes, here in Charleston we have flowers all year long...

Brunch at Poogan's Porch is always a must with their cozy fireplace.

Poogan was the dog of the house, they say he is still around roaming the house.

Luckily we scored jackpot with a seat right next to the fireplace.

Does alligator really taste like chicken?  I'll never know.

Bloody Mary's to start...

Topped off with an okra pickle, yum!

...and bottomless mimosas...

Pulled pork eggs benedict and steak and eggs with bloody mary gastrique.

From there we hopped on the golf cart and headed to The Griffon.

A golf cart ride around the battery led us to the Mills House Hotel.

This beautiful winter day turned into a rainy afternoon.  What did we do?  Turn our living room into a  perfect little movie haven.  We pulled out the bed from the couch and cozied up to some movies.

What a great Sunday in Charleston.  Winter is good to us here.
